About
The iQPU is Universal Quantum's integrated Quantum Processing Unit, a proprietary trapped-ion chip built for manufacturability on a standard 200mm foundry line. It hosts ion qubits controlled by global microwave fields instead of individual lasers, integrates classical control units directly with the quantum chip layer to increase speed and reduce noise, and is designed to be tiled into larger machines using UQConnect, an electric-field link that moves qubits directly between iQPUs. Universal Quantum positions it as the basis for million-qubit, error-corrected systems.
