Sophont is a medical AI lab founded in 2025 that is building towards open medical superintelligence for clinicians: multimodal foundation models that reason across pathology slides, brain scans, clinical notes and labs, plus open frameworks and benchmarks such as nanopath and Medmarks. Its Holon-S1 model predicts spatial gene expression from routine H&E pathology slides. Sophont is led by CEO Tanishq Abraham, founder of the MedARC research community, and CTO Paul Scotti, and announced $9.22 million in combined pre-seed and seed funding led by Kindred Ventures.
