About

Skyfly Technologies is a British company in Thorpe Mandeville, Oxfordshire, that develops manned and unmanned electric and hybrid-electric aircraft that can take off vertically. Its flagship Axe is a two-seat electric aircraft that hovers on eight fixed-angle motors and flies on its wings in cruise, aimed at private owners under the FAA's updated Light Sport Aircraft rules. Its Longbow is a hybrid-electric unmanned derivative for defence and government missions. The company has a US flight test team in Florida, says its prototype has flown more than 100 times, and plans first Axe customer deliveries in 2027. Led by CEO Michael Thompson, it closed a 10 million dollar seed round in October 2026 led by HICO Investment Group with participation from Archangel.
