Robotics data and deployment lab putting embodied AI to work in industrial operations
About
microagi is a Munich-based robotics data research and deployment company founded in 2025 by former Formula 1 engineers from Red Bull Racing and Mercedes-AMG Petronas. Its Atlas platform captures the manual work inside a customer's operations, trains and fine-tunes foundation models on that data, and deploys whichever robot fits the task (humanoid, arm or mobile system) without locking the customer to a single model or hardware vendor. Its consumer-facing app, shift, pays people to record first-person footage of everyday physical work as training data. In July 2026 it announced a $55M seed round led by Hummingbird, with Northzone, LocalGlobe, Village Global and redalpine, which it described as the largest seed round in German history (per microagi and Business Insider). It has a research hub in Zurich and offices in London and New York.
