About

GenLayer Labs is a research and engineering lab for autonomous AI agents. It builds the systems agents run on (the Subzero Claw minimal agent runtime, the Unhardcoded model-routing layer and the GenSwarms coordination layer) and GenLayer, a blockchain protocol whose validators each run a different AI model and reach rulings by consensus, with appeals to larger panels, so subjective questions and agent-to-agent disputes can be settled at machine speed. Applications built on the network include Internet Court (dispute resolution for agents) and Rally. The team has worked on autonomous agents since 2022 (yAgents, then GenWorlds). In August 2024 The Block reported that YeagerAI, the team behind GenLayer, raised a $7.5 million seed round led by North Island Ventures, quoting co-founder Albert Castellana.
