Tactile sensing, tactile data and tactile-grounded world models for robot manipulation
Daimon Robotics (Daimon (Shenzhen) Robotics Technology Co., Ltd.) builds full-stack physical AI around touch: high-resolution vision-based tactile sensors and grippers, data collection systems and datasets, and Daimon-TWM, which it calls a tactile-grounded world model. Incubated from the robotics research team at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, it began operations in 2023 and is headquartered in Shenzhen with an R&D branch in Hong Kong. The Robot Report says it positions itself as an infrastructure provider for companies building robot foundation models, targets assembly and packaging tasks, and names Lenovo Capital and Inovance Technology as key partners.
