Implantable neuromuscular interface for intuitive prosthetic control
Blue Arbor Technologies is a University of Michigan spinout in Ann Arbor developing the RESTORE Neuromuscular Interface System, an implantable device that connects a patient's peripheral nerves to a robotic prosthetic arm for intuitive control of fingers, wrist and elbow. Its work builds on more than 20 years of research in nerve regeneration and prosthetic interfaces. On October 28, 2026 it announced a $10.5 million Series A led by Ottobock to fund feasibility testing, U.S. clinical studies and product development.
