The Human Utility is a nonprofit organization that helps low-income families maintain running water by connecting them with donors who pay their water bills directly to utility companies. Since July 2014, over 4,500 donors have helped more than 2,000 families in Detroit and other US cities. The platform does not assist with plumbing repairs and operates on the principle that water access is a human right. The Human Utility is a product of The Human Utility.
