Dualase is Specific Biologics' genome-editing platform. Each editor pairs an engineered Cas domain with an I-TevI domain that cuts only when properly spaced from the Cas site, leaving different DNA ends that bias cell repair toward the intended edit. The company says this gives high specificity and programmability for in vivo therapies delivered by AAV or lipid nanoparticle encapsulated RNA.
