Slate is a command-line coding agent from Random Labs that keeps complex coding tasks alive across exploration, implementation, builds, test failures, and follow-up edits rather than treating each prompt as a fresh start. It manages context deliberately using a built-in compaction algorithm, coordinates parallel work across multiple focused subagents, and presents plans implicitly after researching the codebase. Installed via npm (`npm i -g @randomlabs/slate`) and runs against any existing repository. Slate is a product of Random Labs.
