SFA-002 is an investigational oral drug developed by SFA Therapeutics that targets the gut-immune axis with once-daily dosing to reduce systemic inflammation. Phase 1b data from 28 patients with mild-to-severe plaque psoriasis showed significant response rates across all primary endpoints with no treatment-emergent adverse events. The proprietary deuteration platform generates patentable new chemical entities from naturally occurring short-chain fatty acids. A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study in 120 patients is ongoing. SFA-002 is a product of SFA Therapeutics.
