Open-source MCP that lets coding agents reverse engineer apps and binaries
REA (Reverse Engineer Anything) is an open-source, MIT-licensed MCP server and agent skill that connects coding agents such as Claude Code and Codex to reverse-engineering tools like Ghidra and Hopper. It lets an agent analyze native binaries, applications and browser/runtime behavior locally to work out how a feature is implemented, without access to the original source code. It installs with a single setup command (npx rea-agents setup) and the project site offers guides and interactive showcases. The GitHub repository (morluto/rea) went viral in October 2026, passing 80,000 stars.
