The OpenBiome Foundation works to expand patient access to microbiome therapies and drive scientific discoveries in the field. It originally pioneered safe access to fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) for recurrent C. difficile infections and now provides targeted investments, strategic collaborations, and open-access resources to equip clinicians, scientists, and healthcare systems. Goals by 2030 include closing treatment gaps for C. diff and enabling life-changing microbiome therapies more broadly. OpenBiome Foundation is a product of OpenBiome.
