OMPlex is Modular Photonics' series of passive devices (OMPlex, OMPlex Pro, OMPlex 2M) for OM1 to OM4 multimode fibre. Using selective mode excitation, they let single-mode transceivers run over legacy multimode links, validated at 10G and 40G over more than 1 km, as a lower-cost, faster alternative to recabling in data centres, campuses, hospitals and stadiums.
