About
Novera is an Apache-2.0 AI workspace maintained by TRON-ABS and derived from Jan, with its upstream notices retained. Desktop and Android releases combine compatible local models and optional external model APIs with conversations, document workflows, a model hub and MCP support. It is intended for people who want a multilingual interface for evaluating and using AI models on their own hardware, with the option of configuring cloud providers. The interface is available in 80 languages; model response quality and multimodal capabilities depend on the model and components selected. The application is free and open source. Local inference requires suitable hardware and downloaded models under their own licenses. External APIs can have separate provider charges and transmit requests to those providers. macOS packages are not Apple-notarized.
