AI and high-throughput in vivo screening platform (NeFIND) that engineers AAV delivery vehicles 10–100x more efficient for kidney and pancreatic gene therapy.
Nephrogen is a Stanford biotech spinout developing curative genetic medicines for kidney and pancreatic diseases using their NeFIND platform, which combines AI and high-throughput in vivo screening to design and validate novel AAV delivery vehicles with tissue-specific tropism. The identified AAV vectors are 10–100x more efficient, cheaper, and less immunogenic than existing options, enabling gene therapy for diseases affecting 1 in 7 Americans that currently have no approved gene-based treatments. The company is co-founded by a Stanford computational biologist and a Stanford nephrologist. Nephrogen is a product of Nephrogen.
