The NearWave Scanner is a fully integrated, handheld frequency-domain near-infrared spectroscopy (fdNIRS) device that measures deep-tissue optical properties including tissue oxygen saturation (StO2) and hemoglobin concentrations (HbO2, HHb, THb). At 36.6 kHz it is the fastest device of its kind, and it includes a companion iOS app for real-time 1D and 2D quantitative mapping. Currently intended for investigational and research use only.
