Mistle provides open-source background agents that run automated engineering tasks including turning GitHub issues into pull requests, investigating production bugs, and reviewing PRs automatically. Teams connect GitHub, Slack, and OpenAI, configure agent sandboxes per repository, and trigger work via webhooks, app mentions, or cron schedules. A local Docker Compose installer sets up the stack locally, and sessions can be inspected or steered in real time. Agent work is attributed to the human who started it via linked GitHub and Slack accounts. Mistle is a product of Mistle.
