ROS2-compatible robot middleware built in Rust with zero-copy shared memory IPC at microsecond latency.
Cerulion is a Rust-implemented robot middleware that runs on Linux and provides zero-copy, deterministic shared memory communication via iceoryx2 for robotics systems. It is ROS2-compatible with native message support and incremental adoption, and provides per-node process isolation for fault containment, static QoS-driven timing with backpressure to prevent data loss, and deterministic replay of live runs for debugging. Users at Amazon Robotics and Boston Dynamics AI Institute have reported up to 10,807x faster communication than standard ROS2. Cerulion is a product of Cerulion.
