Axol is a dual-arm robot (7 degrees of freedom per arm, 860mm reach, 6.5kg peak payload, 500Hz control rate) built by Almond for physical AI researchers and labs. It ships with a fully open-source toolkit—a Python SDK and CLI, bimanual IK solver, CAN motor interface, ZED camera streaming, LeRobot bindings, WebXR VR teleoperation, and a control console. The robot can be configured with wrist and head cameras plus a ZED Box compute module, and supports handheld data collection grippers for gathering manipulation data without a full robot setup. Assembled in San Francisco; on-site repair available in the SF Bay Area. Axol is a product of Almond.
