About

Asterfold helps photographers plan sunset and golden-hour compositions on iPhone and iPad. Explore the Sun path for a place and date, save viewpoints, preview lenses from 14 to 200 mm, and find dates when the Sun lines up with a planned frame. Composition and gear checklists sit alongside a private journal comparing forecasts with actual outings. The free tier includes planning tools, two viewpoints, a journal, and near-term ratings. Optional Plus expands viewpoints, alerts, and planning horizons. Astronomy tools work offline; weather forecasts need a connection. Ratings are estimates, and the flat-horizon model does not account for local obstructions. Presented by Honest Little Apps.
