Apollo Atomics is building a proprietary compact nuclear reactor claimed to be an order of magnitude more power-dense than conventional designs, with fully passive safety systems and a deployment timeline under 24 months. The company targets electricity delivery at approximately 3 cents per kWh and has signed letters of intent representing 20 GW in the commercial pipeline. A demonstrator is planned for 2027, developed in collaboration with MIT's Department of Nuclear Science and Engineering.
