Alpha Research builds open-source agentic knowledge bases starting with Alpha Book, a mirror of Project Gutenberg's 75,000 public-domain books. The platform extends keyword search and RAG with coding agents that use filesystem tools like ripgrep for iterative evidence discovery, and write ad-hoc scripts to label datasets and test hypotheses. Planned expansions include Alpha Econ (US Census, BLS, NBER), Alpha Justice (Supreme Court cases), and support for research libraries, archives, and enterprises. A RESEARCH CLI lets users point the tools at their own datasets. Alpha Research is a product of Alpha Research.
