Device-agnostic surgical intelligence software that runs on the operating-room equipment hospitals already own
XRlabs is a London-based surgical intelligence company founded in 2024 by practising neurosurgeon Dr. Ali Haddad, headquartered at the London Institute for Healthcare Engineering with a second office in Palo Alto. Its modular software sits as an external AI layer across existing surgical systems, using computer vision and deep learning to combine live scope video, navigation telemetry and pre-operative CT and MRI imaging into a real-time, anatomy-aware view of each procedure. Its products are XRlabs SIM for patient-specific planning and rehearsal and SurgicalOS for intraoperative intelligence. In October 2026 it announced a €7.48 million ($8.4 million) seed round led by Playground Global with Eka Ventures, and former Medtronic CEO Omar Ishrak joined as Chair.
