About
Volare is a Finnish company that refines food, beverage and agricultural side streams into insect protein, oil and fertilizers using black soldier flies, supplying the pet food and aquafeed markets. In October 2026 it opened Volare 01, a €15M, 10,000 m² factory in Pori, Finland with capacity for up to 5,000 tonnes of protein and 2,000 tonnes of oil a year, and raised €7.1M to ramp production and prepare a second plant.
