Sovereign AI infrastructure for government, defence and regulated enterprises
Valarian is a London-based technology company building sovereign digital infrastructure that lets governments, defence organisations and regulated enterprises run AI and other sensitive workloads while keeping data, prompts and models inside environments they control. Its core platform, ACRA, extends Kubernetes with isolated, policy-enforced enclaves governing identity, network access, secrets, data, models, agents and audit across cloud, on-premises, edge and air-gapped estates. Founded by Max Buchan and Josh McLaughlin. Valarian announced a $50 million Series A led by NEA (NEA's first defence and dual-use investment in Europe), with Lightbank, XTX Markets, Sequoia and LitVC participating, bringing total funding to $70 million.
