AI-powered smart kitchen appliances for home cooking
upliance.ai is a Bengaluru-based D2C smart kitchen appliance startup founded in 2021 by Mahek Mody and Mohit Sharma. It makes the upliance cooking assistant, which automates tasks like chopping, sautéing, stirring and heating with guided recipes, plus smart air fryers, and uses generative AI to turn recipes, including YouTube cooking videos, into steps the appliance can execute. It raised a seed round led by Khosla Ventures in 2024, and Inc42 reported in October 2026 that it is in talks to raise a Series A.
