Turso builds a SQLite-compatible database engine and cloud platform designed for millions of lightweight databases. Its open-source database is a ground-up rewrite with concurrent writes (MVCC), async I/O, and cloud sync, usable embedded in applications or as a hosted Turso Cloud service for database-per-user and database-per-agent architectures. Public documentation and GitHub repositories are available at turso.tech and github.com/tursodatabase. In October 2026, Supabase announced it had agreed to acquire Turso.
