Thoron builds integrated enterprise drone systems for utility and industrial operators: the Thoron UAS airframe (60-minute flight time, 5 kg payload, IP55 rating, quick-swap payloads and batteries, folding arms), the Commander RC ground controller, and the Combo C1 multi-sensor inspection payload with 4K video, 30x zoom and laser range finding, plus software for data collection and processing. It positions itself as an American-made alternative with a secure supply chain. In October 2026 Thoron announced a $2M pre-seed round led by Avista Utilities, with Ovio, Alliance of Angels, Spokane Angel Alliance and Ignite Northwest participating (per the company's co-founder and Signalbase), to build a reference standard drone system for utilities.
