Star Therapeutics is a South San Francisco biotechnology company focused on discovering and developing therapies for diseases with significant unmet need, with a focus on antibody therapies for hematological and immune conditions. In July 2026 Incyte completed the acquisition of Star's subsidiary Vega Therapeutics (lead program latarcibart, in Phase 3 for von Willebrand disease) in a deal valued at up to $2 billion, and in September 2026 Star's spinout Electra Therapeutics listed on Nasdaq. In October 2026 Star announced a $200 million private financing co-led by OrbiMed and Janus Henderson Investors to advance its preclinical programs into the clinic.
