Automated indoor vertical farms growing pesticide-free, ready-to-eat salad greens and herbs
Stacked Farm is a Queensland-based agtech company that grows leafy greens and herbs such as baby spinach, rocket, basil and mint in automated indoor vertical farms, without pesticides and packed without being touched by hand. Daniel Tzvetkoff founded it on the Gold Coast in 2016 as a home hydroponic experiment, and its first automated farm is at Arundel on the Gold Coast. The company closed a $56 million raise in 2022, is preparing to open a $150 million Melbourne facility that it describes as one of the world's largest vertical farms, and is expanding into the US through a Las Vegas hub and a planned US$126 million production farm in California. In October 2026 it launched a $45 million capital raise to fund that expansion (Business News Australia).
