About

Siloton is a Bristol MedTech company founded in 2020 that miniaturises optical technology for medical imaging. Its photonic chips compress a tabletop's worth of mirrors, lenses and fibre optics used in Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) onto a chip smaller than a coin, to enable portable eye scanners for detecting and monitoring diseases such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetes and multiple sclerosis in the clinic, community and home. It also sells OCT-Chip Development Kits and is an alumnus of the QTEC incubator. In October 2026 it won an 8.4 million pound Innovate UK contract under the Quantum Missions Primer initiative to accelerate its handheld eye imaging system. Alasdair Price is CEO.
