Turning desalination brine into freshwater and critical raw materials
Seamoretech is a Porto-based cleantech startup that converts desalination brine into freshwater and critical raw materials, aiming for zero liquid discharge and traceable resource recovery that can be deployed on existing desalination plant infrastructure. The female-led company secured €1.1 million in the first closing of its seed round in November 2026 from Rypples, 7Seas Capital and Crédito Agrícola, bringing its total raised to €3 million, and is using the funds for industrialisation and commercial expansion, including a planned launch in Spain and pilot projects in markets such as Spain and Egypt.
