Task-specific constrained decoding models for classify, extract, summarize and compress
ScaleDown is an applied AI research lab building constrained decoding models (CDMs) for high-throughput classification, extraction, summarization and compression. Unlike token-by-token LLMs, CDMs read input once and output from constrained answer spaces, targeting much lower cost and higher throughput for agent pipelines and routine NLP jobs, with API and self-hosted options and claimed SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR and ISO 27001-oriented controls. Cofounded by CEO Neal Patel. On 13 October 2026 it launched Constrained Decoding Models publicly, with availability noted on platforms such as OpenRouter and LangChain.
