About

SAIA Compute is building an inference chip designed to run large frontier AI models in a low-cost, compact, low-power form factor, working around the memory wall. According to TechCrunch, its design runs AI directly out of flash storage rather than relying on the expensive, power-hungry memory used by GPUs and TPUs; the company says it is in discussions with Samsung on memory integration, plans to fabricate test chips next year and aims for mass production by 2028. It was founded by 20-year-old Ayaan Govil, went through PearX (S26), and is backed by Pear VC and Entropy Ventures.
