Dynamic electricity tariffs and plug-in home batteries building a household virtual power plant
Rabot Energy is a German energy company offering dynamic electricity tariffs that automatically shift household consumption to times when power is cheaper and renewable generation is high, controlled through its app and smart meters. In June 2026 it launched Rabot Flow, which combines a dynamic tariff, a smart meter and a plug-and-play home battery that needs no rooftop solar and can be used by renters, and it is building a virtual power plant that aggregates connected home batteries. Tech.eu reports it has grown to more than 200,000 customers (about 15,000 commercial and industrial) and €200M in revenue in three and a half years. In October 2026 it raised a $50M Series B led by Endeit with the DeepTech & Climate Fonds, plus existing investors HV Capital, High-Tech Gründerfonds, Bosch Ventures, CNI, Acurio Ventures and vent.io. CEO: Jan Rabe.
