Simulated workplaces for training and evaluating AI agents
Plato is a San Francisco company building simulated worlds where AI agents can be trained and evaluated on real work. Working with domain experts, it recreates the tools and workflows of jobs in customer support, people operations, finance, accounting and healthcare administration as resettable environments that AI labs use for reinforcement learning and evaluation. It was co-founded by Robert Farlow (CEO) and Pranav Putta (CTO). In October 2026 it announced a $16 million Series A led by Nava Ventures with Gradient Ventures, Transpose Platform and Mustafa Suleyman, bringing total funding to $19 million.
