Scalable multi-wavelength laser sources for optical interconnects in AI data centres
Photon Bridge is an Eindhoven-based photonics company developing laser technology for co-packaged optics and optical interconnects between AI processors. Instead of pushing single lasers to ever higher power, it combines and multiplexes light from multiple lower-power semiconductor lasers, targeting high wavelength counts with up to 40 mW per wavelength per fibre and production across multiple indium phosphide foundries. Led by CEO Paul Marchal, it raised a 10 million euro round in October 2026 co-led by the Amadeus APEX Technology Fund and 360 Capital, with Innovation Industries, Faber and BOM, and plans first samples in 2027 and volume manufacturing from 2028.
