Decentralised solar energy and water infrastructure for farms and off-grid communities
NoorNation is an Egyptian climatetech company founded in 2021 by Ragy Ramadan and Mohamed Khaled that designs and assembles decentralised clean energy and water systems for agricultural businesses, rural communities and other off-grid users in Egypt and beyond. Its flagship LifeBox unit provides solar-powered electricity plus pumped or desalinated water, and it also offers NoorBox portable solar power systems and a pay-per-use Solar Irrigation-as-a-Service (SIaaS) model that lets smallholder farmers switch from diesel pumps with no upfront cost. In October 2026 it closed a $1.05M seed round backed by Linah Farms, Catalyst Fund and KBW Ventures.
