About
Mysten Labs is a web3 infrastructure company founded in 2021 by former Meta Novi and Diem engineers Evan Cheng, Sam Blackshear, Adeniyi Abiodun, George Danezis and Kostas Chalkias. It is the original contributor to the Sui layer-1 blockchain and the Walrus data platform, and builds the Slush wallet for Sui. In September 2022 it raised a $300 million Series B led by FTX Ventures at a valuation above $2 billion, following a Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz. On October 16, 2026 Evan Cheng announced that Mysten is forming a dedicated AI business unit focused on agent-trust products and AI-native infrastructure on Sui and Walrus, which he will lead as CTO, while President Kevin Boon becomes CEO; Mysten also recently announced work with Google Cloud on a verifiable agent arbiter for enterprise AI agents.
