MP Space is a Sydney startup founded in 2024 by former Tesla engineers Jay Manley and Sam Paterson that designs and manufactures spacecraft power systems, starting with lithium-ion batteries and expanding into full electrical power systems for satellite constellations. In October 2026 it raised a A$23M seed round led by Blackbird, with Seraphim Space, Systemiq Capital, Speedinvest and MFV Partners participating.
