About

Minerva Humanoids builds Roger, a purpose-built semi-autonomous humanoid robot for hazardous work in onshore and offshore oil and gas operations and public safety, such as offshore rigs, high-voltage power plants, explosive ordnance disposal and hazardous material response. A trained specialist operates Roger remotely through a VR headset and haptic feedback, seeing through the robot's cameras, while the company's in-house AI layer, Minerva Intelligence, handles balance, fall recovery and navigation. Founded at the end of 2025 by CEO Sandor Felber and CTO Maurice Rahme, the company is headquartered in San Francisco with offices in Cambridge, Massachusetts and Sindelfingen, Germany. It emerged from stealth in October 2026 with about $10 million in pre-seed funding led by General Catalyst, with Long Journey Ventures and Credo Ventures co-leading, and is starting its first paid pilots this autumn.
