About
Mindstate Design Labs is building the closed-loop science & engineering stack for rational psychoactive effect design. Our molecular-experience interface links molecular biology to the human psychopharmacodynamic profile to convert informal constructs like clarity, presence, or motivation into high-dimensional design targets. Our clinical program is a sequence of human demonstrations that psychoactive effects can be decomposed, recombined, and synthesized. The first controlled study decomposed hallucinations from the broader hallucinogen profile; the next is designed to selectively upregulate aesthetic salience to treat anhedonia in major depressive disorder. We’re progressively digitizing the molecular interface through which biology shapes what intelligence wants. Mindstate Design Labs is a Y Combinator company (Summer 2021). YC-listed status: Active.
