AI financial operations platform that finds and recovers lost margin for health systems
Midstream Health is a San Francisco company building an AI-native financial operating system for hospitals and health systems. Its platform connects contracts, claims, purchasing, pharmacy and payment data, then uses domain-trained AI agents to spot discrepancies such as unclaimed rebates, unenforced pricing terms and payer underpayments and to start recovery actions. In October 2026 it announced a $20 million Series A led by Valtruis with continued participation from Andreessen Horowitz, Foundry and CommonSpirit Ventures, bringing total funding to $29.2 million. It is led by co-founder and CEO Sumit Kadakia and co-founder and president Venkat Mocherla.
