Egocentric video, hand-tracking and tactile data for training physical AI and robotics models
Maxinsights builds the data layer for physical AI. It pays contractors to wear its proprietary camera hardware while doing everyday work such as cooking, cleaning and car washing, then checks, annotates and curates the first-person footage into training datasets for robotics foundation models and world models. The company says it has captured more than 2 million hours of egocentric data, and in October 2026 launched MaxLoop, an agent-in-the-loop system that scores and corrects data collection as it happens, and MaxGlove, a sensor glove that records grip force and object weight. Founded by Waymo, Google and Microsoft alumni, it announced a 30 million dollar seed round led by PeakXV with participation from Tola Capital, South Park Commons, INCE Capital and Alumni Ventures on 22 October 2026.
