Matters is a Stockholm-based AI-native fintech building a consumer banking platform that pairs neobank services with an AI Advisor to help people manage spending, increase savings and reach financial goals. Customers will pay a flat monthly subscription, with interchange and FX revenue returned to them as accumulated cashback. Founded in April 2026 by CEO Per Österström (the company was formerly known as Moneypacker), it emerged from stealth on October 15, 2026 with a $5M pre-seed round led by angel investor Jakob Johansson, with participation from Knut Frängsmyr, Douglas Stark, Johan Bladh, Patrik Tran and Per Widerstrom, and appointed former Nordnet CEO Lars-Åke Norling as Chair. The company says its first consumer product will launch in the coming weeks.
