Green hydrogen-peroxide propulsion systems for satellites and launch vehicles
Manastu Space Technologies is a Navi Mumbai spacetech company founded in 2017 by Tushar Jadhav and Ashtesh Kumar that develops green propulsion systems for satellites and launch vehicles. Its propulsion uses MS289, a proprietary hydrogen peroxide-based propellant with additives, as a safer alternative to toxic hydrazine, and the company is also working on in-orbit refuelling and debris-avoidance technology. Its Vyom 2U system was tested in orbit on ISRO's PSLV-C60 POEM-4 platform, and it delivered its I-Booster system to India's DRDO in December 2024. In October 2026 India's Technology Development Board agreed to provide ₹116 crore in optionally convertible debt to take its scalable green propulsion platform from TRL-6 to TRL-9, and regulatory filings showed a ₹22 crore Series A extension.
