Grief care platform that organizes and automates the paperwork after a death
LumenUs is a grief care platform that helps families handle the administrative work that follows a loss, such as finding tax forms, filing insurance claims and closing accounts. After an onboarding that captures the family's legal, financial and personal situation, it organizes tasks by urgency and uses AI to automate as much of the work as possible, including surfacing benefits such as unclaimed life insurance. It also offers programs for health systems, funeral homes, employers and providers. It was founded by Sara Tashakorinia with co-founders Sajad Mirzaei and Larry Keeley, is part of TechCrunch Disrupt 2026's Startup Battlefield 200, and planned an early-access launch in October 2026 (per TechCrunch).
