Konwert India Motors is a Coimbatore-based electric mobility company, founded in 2019 by Nickendra Manikandan, that manufactures electric powertrains to convert existing petrol, CNG and LPG auto-rickshaws into electric vehicles. Its magnet-free motors and patented process complete a conversion in roughly 90-99 minutes at about half the cost of a new electric three-wheeler, with financing through lending partners and servicing via myTVS touchpoints. It operates in India and Sri Lanka and is developing retrofit solutions for light commercial vehicles. In October 2026 it raised a pre-Series A round led by The Chennai Angels, with Campus Angels Network, Keiretsu Forum Chennai and Native Angel Network participating.
