Miniature human organs for predictive preclinical drug testing
Intero Biosystems builds complex iPSC-derived human organoids, miniature organs that let pharma companies test drug safety and efficacy on human biology before clinical trials, aiming to identify better medications and cut clinical trial costs. Its first model, GastroScreen, is a human miniature intestine. It was selected for the TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 Startup Battlefield Top 20.
